Great [North] Run! - HOPE (UK)
Despite near arctic conditions, two of our youngest supporters finish the Mini North Run for HOPE and raise £150!
It was going to take more than biting rain and freezing wind to stop two of HOPE's youngest supporters completing the 1 mile course of the Mini [Great] North Run. Still, when your mum is a trustee of HOPE, your dad is a veteran of the Great North Run, and you've got £150 of sponsorship to collect, you've got added incentive to put on your coat and brave the weather! So well done girls, and thank you for your fantastic effort!!
Not to be out done, their dad, Andy, ran the next day in the Great North Run, sporting our latest, profile raising HOPE t-shirts and coming home in a respectable time of 1 hour 45 mins. He was joined by his friend Rob Browning who ran in 2 hours 1 minute, (matching the £150 raised the day before by the girls), and Trish, who clocked up a time of 2 hours 29, as well as some well earned sponsorship. So well done everyone and thanks for your efforts.
