The Great Ethiopia Run

HOPE UK hopes to be part of a HOPE team taking part in the 2006 Great Ethiopia Run, which is a 10km road race through the center of Addis Ababa, held on 26th November 2006. HOPE sent a Canadian team to the run in 2005, which raised a total of around C$80,000 towards our Ethiopia water projects.

If you're interested in joining Team UK for HOPE at the Great Ethiopia Run in 2006, please contact us at info@hope-international.org.uk. You'll be required to raise your own travel costs (roughly £1,200) plus £5,000 in sponsorship for HOPE. (HOPE has lots of experience and ideas for fundraising which we'd be happy to share with you if you need inspiration!) In addition to taking part in the race, we'll spend a few days in Southern Ethiopia, visiting HOPE's water projects in Derashe, and also visit the work of SaLE in Addis Ababa (please see the Projects page for more details).
