HOPE International Development Agency UK
HOPE International Development Agency was established in 1975 and since then, more than 20 million lives have been changed worldwide. HOPE exists to improve the supply of basic human necessities for the neediest of the needy in the developing world through self-help activities, and to challenge, educate, and involve people regarding development issues.
In the UK, HOPE UK was established in 2002 to support the development work that HOPE has been involved with for over four decades. This has been done primarily through fundraising and increasing support for HOPE's work abroad.
It was decided that in the UK, we would focus and fundraise just for HOPE's water programmes in Ethiopia so that we could have a meaningful contribution to that life-changing work.
Another of our goals is to inform and educate people in the developed world regarding issues related to the developing world. Having a UK-based registered charity enables the organisation to do this best within our British society.
